(b) With effect from the date of signature of the collective agreement, a one-time entitlement of thirty-seven (37.5) hours of leave with pay is credited with thirty-seven (37.5) hours of leave within the meaning of subsection 14.03. For the duration of the collective agreement, the employer undertakes to maintain its current guidelines as regards: 5. The consultation may take place at local, regional or national level, as provided for in the Parties. *With effect from April 1, 2017, section 17.17 (paid voluntary leave) is deleted from the collective agreement. The Parties agree to continue the current practice of cooperation in order to address concerns regarding the well-being of employees and the reintegration of staff into the workplace after periods of illness or injury.

Negotiator: UNIFOR Collective Agreement Expiry Date: June 30, 2022 Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Arbitration (a) At the request of a worker, a worker whose spouse is permanently transferred is granted leave without pay for a maximum of one (1) year and a worker whose spouse is temporarily transferred for up to three (3) years. Workers who were on leave without pay for the spouse`s move or whose application for this type of leave was approved before the signing of this collective agreement have access to the five-year provision.
